I am a relatively "conservative" election reformer. I believe that one election rule does not fit all elections and that the number and sorts of options we give voters is of second order import relative to working out the right mix of winner-take-all and winner-doesn't-take-all elections. I think that pragmatically that it's best to push for the use of winner-doesn't-take-all elections (like PR) in more local elections and the primaries of winner-take-all elections.
I'm also a fan more of evolving the US's democracy than pushing for as much of an EU-style system as possible. My slogan is not, "No Party/Ideology Left Behind." I'm okay with there being 2 major parties per state, but don't think there'll be the same two parties being major in all 50 states...
